AXLES- Meritor 22,500 lbs. beam capacity, 5" diameter, 5/8" wall, 71-1/2" or 77-1/2" track, integral spindles, 28-spline camshafts and Meritor MA212 brake lining. This axle has Cam-Master "Q+" quick-change brakes with automatic slack adjusters. Cast ductile iron hubs and cast high-alloy, gray iron outboard mounted drums, hub piloted.

HINGED BULKHEAD DIVIDERS- One (1) located at the rear of the twin hopper assembly, one (1) located at the center of the twin hopper assembly - both swing to the rear. One (1) located at the front of the twin hopper assembly - which swings to both the front and the rear. Full width swing-type bulkheads with perimeter seals, continuous roadside aluminum hinges, pin and eye latches on curbside. Bulkhead swings under roadside top rail. All aluminum construction with 2" total thickness.
STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS - CONVERTIBLE HOPPER
TWIN HOPPER ASSEMBLY- Side panels of .080" aluminum with side slope angle of 43.5 degrees, center and end panels of .100" aluminum with slope angle of 33 degrees riveted design.
TRAPS- 32"W X 54"L opening with single trap doors. The trap plates are 1/4" aluminum with steel stiffeners supported by double sealed steel ball bearings with a plastic internal seal. Hopper clearance is 19".
TRAP OPERATORS- Each trap is opened and closed by a manually operated 2 speed gearbox with 1" diameter output shaft connected through a U-joint to the double rack and pinion gears using a removable crank. There are trap locks on each gearbox. The double rack and pinion gears drive at both sides of each trap plate.
STEP, LADDER & HANDHOLD- Aluminum ladders, handholds, and platforms are mounted on the front. The rear of the trailer has a full width aluminum step.
RUBBER DOCK BUMPERS- Two located on the outside corners and two located inside each tail light group.
TARP- Roll tarp is recommended, customer specifies color and density.
TARP BOWS- Ten (10) on 45' & 46'6" trailers; Eleven (11) on 48' trailers 9" rise galvanized steel arch type.
WALL PROTECTORS- Three molded black plastic side wall protectors.
WHEEL FLAPS- 1/2" Black heavy duty rubber, 24"W x 30"L.
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM- Complies with FMVSS 108 with connector 7" offset to roadside on nose. All weather-pack automotive connections are sealed to prevent water intrusion and corrosion. Common ground.
REAR TAIL LAMPS- Six (6) 4" diameter, 7 diode L.E.D. lamp, flange mounted riveted in place. Two red turn signals and four red stop/tail and stop/clearance combination. (Complies with FMVSS 108)
SIDE AND NOSE L.E.D.,MARKER, CLEARANCE & ID LAMPS-
Side Lamps - Includes 2 rows of 3 lamps each side; (3) amber L.E.D., (2) red (1) amber L.E.D. mid turn/marker lamp. (Complies with FMVSS 108)
Nose Lamps - (2) High mounted amber L.E.D. marker lamps. (Complies with FMVSS 108)
Standard High mounted Rear Frame Lamps - (5) red L.E.D. marker lamps on rear header. (Complies with FMVSS 108)
CONSPICUITY TAPE- Red and white reflective tape mounted in line with bottom row of side marker lamps and full width across rear of trailer. White reflective tape mounted on top corners of rear frame. (Complies with FMVSS 108)
PAINT COLORS- Black corrosion resistant metal coating on all steel parts.
ALUMINUM FLOOR- Extruded aluminum floor sections, 1 ¼" thick. Center floor sections over the twin hopper hinge toward the curbside and roadside side walls. Forklift rating not to exceed 12,000 lbs. combined weight of forklift and load.
PLYMETAL REAR DOORS- Two ¾" plymetal swing-type rear doors with double-lap seals, stainless covering on rear face and 9" arch on the top of the door. Three hinges, one cam-lock, and holdbacks on each each door. Roadside cam-lock has dual handles to allow rear frame header to swing with roadside door.
FLOOR CROSS MEMBERS- 5" aluminum extrusion I-Beams on the front and rear sections in the front and rear sections of
the trailer. Aluminum 6" self-cleaning extrusion on 17" centers is used in the twin hopper assembly.
