TIMPTE BELT CONVEYOR SYSTEM

FOR TIMPTE 42' 2" BELT CONVEYOR TRAILER

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION The patented Timpte Belt Conveyor System is comprised of a two piece conveyor system; a lower conveyor mounted underneath the hopper system and an inclined conveyor mounted to the suspension subframe weldment to convey the material from the lower conveyor to a point above and behind the trailer, and a hydraulic control system to drive and manipulate the conveyors. The Timpte Belt Conveyor System is unique in that it provides a unique, portable conveyance solution and patented method to legally transport that system when properly attached to the Timpte Belt Conveyor Hopper Trailer. The Timpte Belt Conveyor System is covered by US Patent # 6,814,532 B1.

APPLICATION Intended for use with a 42 2"' Timpte Belt Conveyor Trailer for the conveyance of free flowing granular commodity from discharge beneath the hoppers to an elevated discharge point above and behind the trailer.

1. LOWER CONVEYOR Lower conveyor is welded steel construction with painted enamel finish. Attachment for the lower conveyor uses bolted connection through flanged brackets to the trap frame weldments. Ground clearance of the lower conveyor is 15".

2. INCLINED CONVEYOR Inclined conveyor is welded steel construction with painted enamel finish. Attachment for the inclined conveyor utilizes a series of bolted attachments to the Timpte Belt Conveyor Trailer suspension subframe weldment and a central bearing mounted pivot shaft. The inclined conveyor extends to a working length of12' 8" behind the trailer and height of 12' 2". It retracts to an overall height 13' in its stowed transport position. The extension and retraction is accomplished using a pair of hydraulic cylinders and a patented four bar linkage arrangement. The working inclination of the conveyor is 25.5 degrees.

3. CONVEYOR BELTING Both conveyors utilize 24" wide scallop textured, PVC faced canvas belting. The ends of the belts are joined using heavy duty belting splices.

4. HYDRAULIC SYSTEM The hydraulic system is comprised of 1" hydraulic supply connections at the nose of the
trailer, 1" hydraulic lines, independent valve control of the two hydraulic cylinders, single
valve control of the conveyors with independent flow control of motor speed and a pair of
hydraulic motors to power the conveyor belts.

The Timpte Belt Conveyor System requires a hydraulic power supply of 25 to 28 GPM of
flow at 3000 psi of clean, filtered oil. The relief valve setting on the conveyor hydraulic
system will be preset at 2500 psi.

Connection of the Timpte Belt Conveyor System to the hydraulic supply is accomplished
through 1" Quick couplers mounted on the nose of the Timpte Belt Conveyor Trailer with a
male connector on the supply side and a female connector on the return side.

Normal operation of the conveyors move the belts from the front of the conveyor to the rear
and from beneath the trailer to the top of the inclined conveyor. The hydraulic system does
provide for operation of the lower conveyor only in the reverse direction to assist in
unloading any residual materials left in the hoppers.

5. LIGHTING & The Conveyor system comes with conspicuity tape along the length of the inclined CONSIPICUITY conveyor. It also comes equipped with a separate three light identification cluster of three red LED lights and Weatherpack wiring connectors.

Features:

  • Timpte's innovative Conveyor Trailer utilizes a conventional Super Hopper Grain Trailer with a detachable hydraulic 3-stage conveyor system.
  • Feed, Seed or Fertilizer can be efficiently transported from bulk terminals to field tenders with minimum manpower or equipment requirements.
  • Timpte's conveyor is unique with its patented folding belt framework. The conveyor can be easily folded into the rear trailer body for transport.
  • Timpte utilizes a 24" wide scallop textured PVC faced canvas belt for extended service life. An optional "LUG" belt is available for products that tend to have a round shape like Soybeans.
  • The unique belt system has hydraulic speed controls to enable the operator to run the horizontal and vertical belts at various speeds. This minimizes the potential product spillage at the belt transition.
  • The inclined conveyor extends to a working length of 12'8" behind the trailer and height of 12'2". It retracts to an overall height of 13' in its stowed transport position.
  • Conveyor controls are conveniently located at the rear roadside of the trailer. Each belt can be operated at a different speed.
