Heil 1600CF Vacuum Pnumatic Tank Trailer
A. VESSEL
1. Capacity- 1600 Cu. Ft. Super Flo Vacuum-Pneumatic - 4 Hoppers - 102" Wide
2. Tank Construction- Smooth interior, external rings. 5454-H32 aluminum vessel. Hydro tested at 22.5 P.S.I. 43 degree hopper slope. Vessel designed for 13" Hg (inches of Mercury) vacuum service.
3. End Frame- Monocoque design with void sections over upper coupler and tandem. 102 in. wide trailers are not legal on all roads in all states
4. Interior Welds- Class II, cleaned and washed.
5. Manholes- 4 20" Heil heavy duty cast aluminum manhole covers, pressure type with 6 aluminum cam actuated adjustable hold downs and Nylon wear plates. Mount one over each hopper. Aluminum cam handles and nylon wear plates, replaceable wear plates under hold downs, two stainless steel cover retainers per manhole. White neoprene gaskets in manhole covers. Manholes hinge on streetside. 4" elbow in transition section for vacuum entry into tank.
6. Shell Finish- Mill finish bulk trailer sheet.
7. Baffles- None
8. Documentation- Unit tested with water. Professional cleaning is recommended prior to initial loading to avoid possible contamination of cargo. 180 degrees F. maximum operating temperature.
9. Product Information- Specify product/commodity to be hauled (mandatory).
10. Misc. Vessel- This Heil dry bulk trailer is designed and built for the highway transportation of dry granular commodities. It should only be operated on hard-surfaced roads. It is not designed for off-road use or for hauling any type liquid or semi-liquid (slurry). Use of this trailer for which it is not designed may cause damage and potential injuries. It is designed for US operations only.
B. TANK FITTINGS AND PIPING
1. Air Inlet Line- 3" Sch. 10 aluminum line with welded 3" adapter streetside front of tank. One (1) Knappco swing spring check valve near P.T.O. inlet One (1) Knappco swing spring check valve upstream of front hopper discharge
2. Aeration- Three (3) Solimar aerators per hopper. 3" Aluminum air manifold, 2" hoses supplying air to aeration system. Hopper saver wear plates.
3. Prop/Pres Ctl Valve- 3" Heil fig. 890 butterfly valve, aluminum body, 255 duplex stainless disc (1 piece disc & stem) Locate streetside to regulate airflow to product discharge line.
4. Aeration Valve- 3" Heil fig. 890 butterfly valve, aluminum body, 255 duplex stainless disc (1 piece disc & stem) Locate streetside to regulate airflow to air manifold line.
5. Blow-Down Line- 3" Sch. 10 aluminum with Heil fig. 890 butterfly valve, aluminum body, 255 duplex stainless disc (1 piece disc & stem) Locate streetside at front of tank. 15 PSI pressure relief valve.
6. Top Air Line-*3" Sch. #10 aluminum top air line with Heil fig. 890 butterfly valve, aluminum body, 255 duplex stainless disc (1 piece disc & stem)
7. Product Valve- 5" Heil fig. 890 butterfly, aluminum body, 255 duplex stainless disc (1 piece disc & stem), white Nitrile seat, with powder coated steel handle.
8. Product Tee- Cast aluminum, non-gravity tees, 5" valve x 4" product line.
9. Product Line- 4" Sch. 40 aluminum line between hoppers. *Zytel groove to plain clamp joint connector between hoppers, aluminum groove to groove couplers at front & rear.
10. Rear Discharge- Line Sch. 40 aluminum, straight tube, under axle. Welded aluminum male adapter (Part "A") and dust cap at rear of discharge pipe.
11. Vacuum Inlet- Line 4" Sch. #10 aluminum line with welded 4" adapter and cap from streetside front to rear of trailer connecting to filter canister. 3" vacuum relief valve set at 13 in. Hg. mounted on vacuum line at front. 4" SureSeal fig. 890 butterfly valve, white Nitrile seat, manually operated for vacuum relief near filter canister.
12. Load Line- 4" Sch. #40 aluminum bumper level load line with 4" adapter and cap. No eductor hose. Load line extends to last manhole with a blunt end.
13. Cyclone Filter- Aluminum canister bolted-on at rear for (2) stage filter system w/20" diameter cast aluminum cover for filter service and 10" inspection port. Primary cyclone separator and secondary system with removable air filter cluster of 292 High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) self cleaning filter tubes. (2) 4 in. SureSeal fig. 890 butterfly valves with white Nitrile seat for cleanout at bottom of cyclone. (1) 4 in. SureSeal fig. 890 butterfly valve with white seat at vacuum inlet of cyclone.
14. Gauges- Three (3) liquid filled, one tank, one line, one at rear. Gauges measure pressure and vacuum. Two gauges in cabinet with light located streetside forward of tandem. One at rear near cyclone with light.
15. Miscellaneous- None.
C. ACCESSORIES
1. Ladder- Aluminum, curbside of rear head. Grip-Strut walkway over top transition and lower area.
2. Hose Tubes- 2 8" x 21' long aluminum hose tube located curbside rear of tank. Cast aluminum door at rear.
3. Walkway- Adhesive backed skid-resistant tape between toe rails. Curbside platform on rear end barrel.
4. Tire Carrier- None.
5. Cabinet- None.
6. Hose Holder- P.T.O. hose holder at nose.
7. Fenders- Aluminum, single contour at front, double contour at rear.
8. Splash Guard- Anti-sail and anti spray for front and rear.
9. Lights- 12 Volt Truck Lite flange mount LED lamp system complying to FMVSS with conspicuity markings each side and rear. 2 Combination mid-tank clearance and turn signals, one each side. 1 One oval third stop light, located rear center of trailer.
10. Wiring- 12-volt system, 7-wire, molded harness throughout. "Plug-together" modular style harness. 7-way SAE J560 connector.
11. Miscellaneous- Trucklite document holder, mounted on roadside frame.
D. CHASSIS
1. Upper Fifth Wheel- Hi-tensile steel, bolted and adjustable with 2" forged kingpin.
2. Skid Plate- None.
3. Landing Legs- Binkley 2-speed 51,000 series with sand shoes and streetside crank.
4. Suspension- *Hendrickson raised center axle AA-230-RC Air Ride Suspension, parallel axle, & brake system, 77.5" track, 5" round, 23,000 lb. axle beam rating, 49" axle spacing, with OEM single leveling valve. Heil R2R ("Ready-to-Run") Value Package - Includes Hendrickson's Five-Year wheel end warranty and factory supplied chambers, slacks, preset hubs, and drums.
5. Brake System- One (1) aluminum 2850 cu. in. air tank with rubber saddles and stainless steel u-bolt mount. System to meet FMVSS requirements. Meritor (Rockwell) Wabco "Easy Stop" 4S-2M ABS system, (4 sensor/2 modulator). Diagnostic plug is included. OEM Roll Stability System - Meritor Wabco (Heil standard) Philips "Quick Release" gladhand on service line. Constant power is standard on auxiliary (blue) center pin of SAE J560 7-way. 16.5" x 7" (quick change) S-cam type brake shoes. Heil's R2R Package includes extended service brake shoes (Premium ABEX 30/30-197 with 5/8" thick brake shoes)
6. Brake Chamber- OEM type 30-30 parking-emergency spring brake - Heil's R2R Package includes Haldex Life Seal (long stroke) Brake Chambers.
7. Brake Lining- OEM brake lining.
8. Slack Adjuster- OEM (automatic) slack adjuster - Heil's R2R Package includes Haldex 5.5" automatic slack adjusters with grease fittings.
9. Axles- 2 Integral with air ride.
10. Oil Seals- Preset bearings with Premium oil seals and visible hub caps for Heil's R2R Package.
11. Paint- Dupont Imron 5000 series silver metallic paint on steel parts only. Paint warranty: 3 Year prorated warranty steel parts, 4 year prorated warranty on aluminum parts.

1. Hubs- 4 10 Stud, "Hub Pilot" (single nut mount), aluminum hub for outboard drum (parallel spindle) (ConMet Preset dual aluminum wheel - stud length 33mm, two piece flanged wheel nuts) Hub lubrication - - synthetic transmission fluid (OEM hub caps).
2. Drums- 4 Centrifuse - outboard mount brake drums (16.5" x 7").
