Heil 1350 CF Pneumatic Tank Trailer
A. Vessel
Capacity- 1350 Cu. Ft. Super Jet Pneumatic - 3 Hoppers
Tank Construction- Smooth interior, external rings. 5454-H32 aluminum vessel. 45 degree hopper slope with bolt-on spun cones.
End Frame- Huck riveted bi-metal end frames with galvanized hi-tensile steel frame rails and aluminum crossmembers, with aluminum struts.
Interior Welds- Class I, as welded.
Manholes- 3 20" Heil heavy duty cast aluminum manhole covers, pressure type with 6 aluminum cam actuated adjustable hold downs and Nylon wear plates. Mount one over each hopper. Aluminum cam handles and nylon wear plates, replaceable wear plates under hold downs, two stainless steel cover retainers per manhole. White neoprene gaskets in manhole covers.
Shell Finish- Mill finish bulk trailer sheet.
Baffles- None
Documentation- Unit tested with water.
Professional cleaning is recommended prior to initial loading to avoid possible contamination of cargo. 180 degrees F. maximum operating temperature.
Misc. Vessel- This Heil dry bulk tank trailer is designed and built for the highway transportation of dry granular commodities. It is not designed for off-road use and should only be operated on hard surface roads. It is not designed for hauling any type liquid or semi liquid (slurry) which may damage the unit and potentially cause personal injuries. It is designed for US operations only.
B. TANK FITTINGS AND PIPING
Air Inlet Line- *Curbside air manifold line - 3" (Streetside air inlet). 3" Sch. 10 aluminum line with welded 3" adapter streetside front of tank. One (1) Knappco swing spring check valve near P.T.O. inlet One (1) Knappco swing spring check valve upstream of front hopper discharge.
Aeration- *Three (3) Solimar aerators per hopper. 3" Aluminum air manifold, 2" hoses supplying air to aeration
system. Hopper saver wear plates.
Prop/Pres Ctl Valve- 3" Heil fig. 500, aluminum body butterfly valve (alum/bronze disc, black Nitrile seat). Locate streetside to regulate airflow to product discharge line.
Aeration Valve- 3" Heil fig. 500, aluminum body butterfly valve (alum/bronze disc, black Nitrile seat). Locate streetside to regulate airflow to air manifold line.
Blow-Down Line- 3" Sch. 10 aluminum with 3" Heil fig. 500 aluminum body butterfly valve (alum/bronze disc, black Nitrile seat). Locate streetside at front of tank. 15 PSI pressure relief valve.
Top Air Line- None.
Product Valve- 5" Heil fig. 500 aluminum body butterfly valve (iron disc, black Nitrile seat), with powder coated steel handle.
Product Tee- Cast aluminum, non-gravity tees, 5" valve x 4" product line.
Product Line- 4" Sch. 40 aluminum line between hoppers.
Rubber hose with stainless steel screw band clamp connectors between hoppers.
Rear Discharge Line- SCH 40 Aluminum, straight tube, under axle. Welded aluminum male adapter (Part "A") and dust cap at rear of dicharge piping.
Vacuum Inlet Line- None.
Load Line- 4" Rear fill line through rear head with adapter and dust cap on the outside and the short stinger on the inside. 4" nipple, cap, and adapter mounted horizontally next to the fill line. This will be a vent line cut flush with the interior. and located next tot eh fill line in the rear head.
Cyclone Filter- None.
Guages- Two liquid filled, one tank pressure and one line pressure. Gauge pressure range 0-30 PSI. Gauge in cabinet with light located streetside rear, forward of tandem.
C. Accessories
Ladder- Rear center of head, aluminum, with serrated rungs & grabhandles at top step.
Hose Tubes- 1 8" x 21' long aluminum hose tube located curbside rear of tank. Cast aluminum door at rear.
Walkway- Adhesive backed skid-resistant tape between toe rails.
Tire Carrier- None.
Cabinet- None.
Hose Holder- P.T.O. hose holder at nose.
Fenders- Aluminum, single contour at front, double contour at rear.
Splash Guard- Anti-sail and anti spray for front and rear.

Lights- 12 Volt Truck Lite flange mount LED lamp system complying to FMVSS with conspicuity markings each side and rear.2 Combination mid-tank clearance and turn signals, one each side. 1 One oval third stop light, located rear center of trailer.
Wiring- 12-volt system, 7-wire, molded harness throughout. "Plug-together" modular style harness. 7-way SAE J560 connector.
D. CHASSIS
Upper Fifth Wheel- Hi-tensile steel, bolted and adjustable with 2" forged kingpin. 2. Skid Plate None.
Landing Legs- Austin Westran Lift Pak (square legs), Powder Coated 2-speed, 50,000# lift, with sandshoes, and streetside crank.
Suspension- Hendrickson raised center axle AA-230-RC Air Ride Suspension, parallel axle, & brake system, 71.5" track, 5" round, 23,000 lb. axle beam rating, 49" axle spacing, with OEM single leveling valve. Heil R2R ("Ready-to-Run") Value Package - Includes Hendrickson's Five-Year wheel end warranty and factory supplied chambers, slacks, preset hubs, and drums.
Brake System- One (1) aluminum 2850 cu. in. air tank with rubber saddles and stainless steel u-bolt mount. System to meet FMVSS requirements. Meritor (Rockwell) Wabco "Easy Stop" 4S-2M ABS system, (4 sensor/2 modulator). Diagnostic plug is included. OEM Roll Stability System - Meritor Wabco (Heil standard) Philips "Quick Release" gladhand on service line.Constant power is standard on auxiliary (blue) center pin of SAE J560 7-way. 16.5" x 7" (quick change) S-cam type brake shoes - Heil's R2R package includes extended service brake shoes (Premium ABEX
30/30-197 with 5/8" thick brake shoes).
Brake Chamber- OEM type 30-30 parking-emergency spring brake - Heil's R2R Package includes Haldex Life Seal (long stroke) Brake Chambers
Brake Lining- OEM brake lining.
Slack Adjuster- OEM (automatic) slack adjuster - Heil's R2R Package includes Haldex 5.5" automatic slack adjusters with grease fittings.
Axles- 2 Integral with air ride.
Oil Seals- Preset bearings with premium oil seals & visible hub caps for Heil's R2R package.
Paint- Dupont Imron 5000 series gray paint on steel parts only. Paint warranty: 3 year prorated warranty steel parts, 4 year prorated warranty on aluminum parts.
